Do you enjoy North Carolina and New Bern history and meeting new people? Do you have good people skills and a welcoming smile? Then The Museum Shop of Tryon Palace Historic Sites & Gardens has volunteer positions open to fit your interests!
You will be responsible for ringing up sales and opening and closing the store using a computerized cash register. Complete and continuous training is provided. Shifts open are Monday – Saturday, 9:30 am – 1:00 pm and 1:00 pm – 6:00 pm. Sunday, 12:30 – 6:00 pm. This spot is perfect for retirees with energy to spare! Proceeds from sales in The Museum Shop provide funding for educational and garden programs at Tryon Palace. Call 252.514.4951 and ask for Fran Campbell, volunteer coordinator, to learn more.
